Learning photography can be really hard to navigate on your own, trust me. I know. Sometimes it can help to have someone hold your hand and help you find your way. I'm here to help you dig deep to find your voice. I started these mentoring sessions to provide you with what I wish I would've had. Support, encouragement, and a no-frills-no-fluff approach to documentary and storytelling family photography. I'm here to talk through things with you and challenge you to help you grow. Whether you are a more experienced photographer and are just branching into documentary photography or if you've only just begun photography in general, there's something for you. Two different options provide you with flexibility to meet your needs:
In Person Mentoring Session: 3 hour in person meeting (in Hampton Roads), a small gift from me, and informational packet and worksheets tailored to your needs. We will be able to talk, shoot, and work on whatever area it is that you need to work on. $300
The Brave Storyteller: A Beginner's Guide - $45 A photo rich, beginner guide to photography/shooting in manual mode in a downloadable PDF format. It covers all of the basics (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, Beginner Composition) and has questions to help you find your voice and capture the moments that matter to you. As an added bonus, it includes the 31 Day Brave Storyteller Challenge to help encourage you to pick up your camera every single day for 31 whole days and practice what you have learned.

What Clients Are Saying
" Jess came into our home and captured beautiful memories for us that we will cherish forever. She made us feel at ease and just captured us as we are- you could actually see everyone's true character in the shots. These are the moments that make up the good stuff of life. It's what's real. It's what matters."
"Jess, I appreciate you more than words can express and I thank you for always capturing my family in the most perfect, honest way, so that people who don't know us, see who we are."
