When a dear friend announced she was pregnant with not one, but two little babies, I was beyond thrilled. Not only was I just plain happy for them, but I was over-the-moon happy for their (then) youngest. You see, I met this family at the ball field (it's where I meet most people- ha!- life of a mom with 3 kids in sports!). And at the time, my youngest was just a little babe and was still nursing pretty frequently. This family's little girl was obsessed with my son! She would often "help" with him. She would take him for little strolls, help change his diaper, and of course asked all the questions. I knew that having itty, bitty little twins would just be a dream come true for her! When these sweet little babes came into this world, they had 2 older sisters waiting for them at home. Unfortunately, they were at school during our morning session, so I didn't get a chance to photograph them all together, but rest assured, it's on the agenda. Four girls! What a blessing! Mama affectionately calls these little ones "the Twinkies" and I think it's just precious. We hung around the couch and I watched them cuddle and nurse and I documented those seemingly normal, ordinary moments- which we all know really aren't all that ordinary, are they? They are full of magic and nostalgia and have the power to make our hearts ache with joy and longing for days gone by.
