norfolk family day in the life session | norfolk photographer

I like to call this sweet little Norfolk family my sweet repeats. At this point, I feel like I'm a little bit related to them! I cannot describe to you the emotion (and gratitude) I feel knowing that I get to document their family year after year and bearing witness to their daughter growing by the leaps and bounds. When I first started photographing them, she was in diapers! It is such a blessing to be able to play this small part in their lives. 

And, we just so happened to celebrate her birthday!

We went to the beach and spent the morning hours splashing around in the water, digging holes, and looking for the best shells. When you book a Day in the Life session, we've got time to hang out and do the funnest stuff. 
As it got hotter, we packed up and headed for ice cream at The Blue Cow in Virginia Beach. Absolutely delicious! I never thought I would go crazy over goat cheese ice cream, but I actually, 100% did. 

We got some amazing food in Norfolk and of course strolled around the Freemason District, which is always a treat in and of itself. 
Then we went home, hung out, played some games, read some books, rode bikes, and got the little one ready for bed.
