Every holiday season, I see parents and loved ones struggle with gift ideas that are valuable to the recipient, yet is not something that will be considered clutter in a few months. A lot of families are moving towards non-material gifts and instead focusing on experiences that the whole family can share together- a chance to make memories that will last a lifetime. I'd like to share with you an idea that a few clients of mine do for their families each year. They gift their family a Day in the Life Session. They choose a day for me to come out and catch the memories that are being made...the opportunity to create art out of their moments. Sometimes they have me come out on a lazy weekend, but other times they combine it with another experience gift they have planned for their family. We could make it fun and exciting! Maybe a special trip to the zoo, the aquarium, the beach, creating a special dinner, a camping trip, a day trip to a nearby city, a family hike, baking, going to their favorite ice cream shop...the options are endless and are tailored to your family. I capture what is special to you. I also quickly want to add that adding in grandparents on this experience is about the best thing you could possibly do! A Day in the Life Session looks different for every family, some are loud and chaotic, some are cuddly and filled with quiet moments. The important thing is that we are making a visual diary for your family. A legacy for generations to cherish. It's important for families to be able to express themselves and tell the story of their lives. Each Day in the Life Session comes with an 8x8 hardcover photo book for you to keep, as well as a gallery of digital images. If this session is a gift, I have beautiful gift certificates that are presentation perfect and ready-to-give adorned with a Christmas ornament. If these past few years have taught us anything, it's that we are only on this Earth for a short amount of time and things can change in an instant. We can't afford to wait on making the most out of the time we are given. These past few years we were shown what's really, truly important in life... and it's not material possessions.
If this sounds like a clutter-free gift experience you'd like to invest in for your family, I would love to speak with you more about it. You can contact me here or use the Contact tab above. I'm happy to send you my Client Welcome Guide- I can't wait to help you tell your story.
