Hey ya'll! I've been hearing from some of my past clients and families I hope to work with and they have been asking, "What are these frames? I need them!" and honestly, I tend to agree. When I consider my product line up and what I offer to my clients, I can say this is one of the things that I am most proud to offer. The craftsman ship and uniqueness of each frame is amazing. In taking a quick break from telling the stories of my clients, I'd like for this blog post to focus on a few things: what custom framing options I offer, why you should choose custom framing to display your artwork, how to display them, and design ideas. When you say custom framing, sometimes that can feel a little overwhelming. While it's true that there are countless options, it's fun to design something perfect and unique for your home. Whether your style is modern and clean, timeless and elegant, farmhouse chic, or funky and bright- I've got something to offer you. There are 20 single frame shapes and what's even better is you can stack the frames on top of each other, creating a double layered frame with 2 different shapes and 2 different colors! Whether you choose the single layer option (most popular) or the double (truly eye catching), it is sure to add a fun and beautiful additional to your wall gallery or as a standalone piece. And colors? They come in every color under the rainbow. If the farmhouse look is more your style, they offer custom, handmade frames using reclaimed barnwood. No two are exactly alike and it will add a beautiful texture to your wall. I have always been a big believer in displaying your artwork or filling the walls of your home with things that make you happy. You've probably heard me say it many times if you have ever been a client or have read my blog a time or two! I think it's important to display things that will catch your eye and in an instant, make you feel something. I have two portraits of my children hanging on our walls in these beautiful frames (I chose matching frames) and I look at them and I'm instantly transported back to the day I shot the images. I remember my daughter twirling and dancing in the sand on the beach at sunset in her favorite dress. I remember my son finding shells and bits of driftwood (and crab shells!). I can feel the heat of the day, smell the salty air, and hear the little pitter patter of tiny feet in the surf. Looking at them reminds me of this particular day and it makes me happy. It makes me feel. It doesn't need to be a cookie-cutter portrait to be displayed proudly on your wall- it just needs to be you. I also have two silhouettes of the children that were souvenirs from last year's trip to Disney that are framed in 5x7 Mary Ann style frames; a wonderful addition to our gallery wall in the living room. Aside from that, I read an article recently that offered a unique perspective on displaying pictures in the home. The article mentions an amazing study done in Tennessee by Tulane University in 1975 where children spent a few weeks with a Polaroid and taking pictures of each other. The result was a significant increase in their self esteem levels. The article goes on to talk about the importance of displaying images of your family and your children in your home and how it reaffirms their (very important) place in the family. You can read the article here for yourself. Design options are endless. I've mentioned adding them to an existing wall gallery or using it as a focal point for a new wall gallery. Use it to start your color scheme, be inspired! It's also great as a stand alone piece on a wall. The size of the wall will determine what size frame you need, but for a stand alone piece, I would recommend those 16x20 and larger. Smaller frames are great in conjunction with either a frame grouping or on a shelf (much like the pair of 5x7 frames I mentioned earlier in our living room gallery wall). For shelves, I offer a black metal scroll easel for frames 4x6-11x14. I have used them on counters, shelves, and desks. They are very versatile! So, how do you purchase one of these amazing frames? The Organic Bloom is exclusively sold by carefully selected vendors throughout the country. You can purchase them through me by themselves or you can purchase one after a session with me when you are selecting which artwork you'd like to take home with you. Each Collection I offer has the option of choosing a custom framed print with your choice of frame style and color, or you can choose a Gallery Wrap Canvas. If you choose to purchase a frame alone (maybe several months or even years after your session with me) I will include a complimentary print for your frame! It's that easy. When you are ready to purchase, just shoot me an email and I will get you all set up and on your way to a beautiful and unique framed portrait. What better way to show off your investment?
Which is your favorite? Can you think of other fun ways to use these frames? So far, I've only used them on a shelf and on the wall, but this Christmas, I am making Christmas ornaments for one of our trees! I can't wait!

I liked it when you shared that it is great to display your artwork or decorate the walls of your home with things that make you happy. My mother just mentioned the other day that she is planning to hang photos of our family on the walls of the house after the remodeling project is done. I will suggest to her sending the photos to a reliable custom framing service so they are nicely framed.

I want to get some cute family pictures hung up in my home, and I'm not sure how to put them together nicely. It makes sense that I would want to get some really nice frames for them! I'll be sure to get some that are the right size.
