where stories are told
I had the honor and privilege to photograph Kaitie and Cameron's wedding this past weekend at the Seymour Lodge in Pine Mountain, Ga. It was a beautiful blend of country-vintage and elegance! To be young and in love is such a wonderful thing. This wedding was very special to me, my little cousin was getting married to her very best friend. I did their engagement pictures a few months back and it was the first opportunity I had to meet Cameron, although I had heard lots about him. Adorable doesn't begin to describe this couple and fun is their middle name. Seriously, this couple kept me laughing and I had a smile on my face all day, except for the moments I was crying because it was so sweet.
Kaitie and I talked several times prior to the wedding about what she wanted and about what I wanted. It was important for me to capture their fun, spontaneous, life-loving side while also giving them timeless, elegant photographs to remember their very special day for years to come. I didn't (don't) want to just photograph their wedding day, I wanted to tell the story of their day. First, a little backstory here: Kaitie and Cameron love all things Disney. Cameron has a thing for pirates too. (See, I told you they were fun!) Kaitie, her sister, and other cousin held internships with Disney in Orlando, FL. Most of their lifelong friends were met through Disney. Naturally, Cameron would propose to Kaitie in front of Cinderella's castle. Kaitie and Cameron planned their wedding to reflect their vintage style with small Disney touches throughout. It was a magical afternoon! My favorite part? Hands down, it was the "First Look". There is just something so earth shatteringly beautiful about seeing a groom see his bride for the very first time.
As the photographer, I was thrilled to have a beautiful day and a cooperative, fun, and beautiful wedding party. I have included a few of my favorite pictures below and some of their engagement session. Be sure to check the Weddings tab to see more featured images.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. King for letting me be apart of your amazing wedding and allowing me to tell your love story.
Welcome, sweet surprise baby girl! These new parents were sure she was a boy from the moment of conception and what a surprise she was! Waiting to find out the gender of a baby has got to be the ultimate icing on the cake moment. Mama had a long labor, but she brought Miss J Blu earth side in the early hours of a cold Saturday morning. I've known this couple for a few years, they are a fellow Navy family and I couldn't have been more proud of them.
Mama had assembled a rock star birth team that included her loving husband, both sides of the family, an amazing doula, her equally amazing midwife, and myself. She was surrounded by love and support every step of her journey. I was also honored to photograph their pregnancy announcement, which is detailed here, and their precious newborn photos.
Here's a few of my favorites- J Blu was such a little diva at her shoot. Wide eyed and bushy tailed. I think I may have gotten 10 minutes total of her sleeping. But she is oh so SO cute! Enjoy!
