For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning." - T.S. Eliot A Year in ReviewOver the past few weeks, I've been pondering this particular blog. I have been reflecting on all the things that have happened this year. Just like anyone else, there have been highs and lows- good times and bad ones. I can confidently say that 2022 was the best year yet for my little business. I have grown not only in clientele, but my work as well. And you know what? I've learned so much. So, here it is: my reflections on this year and where I've been and how I've grown. My work this year has grown and changed. Each session has given me the opportunity to try something new and to practice my skill. I am forever grateful for that and to those to trust me with their family's memories. It's an honor to be a Keeper of such things. I've done a lot of soul searching and working on my mental and emotional health. That's a work in progress. As a family, we've done a little traveling and seen a few new things. My sincerest prayer is that we will continue to do these things together. We've also hung out at our normal spots and made new memories. We've learned new things about one another and strengthened our bonds. I've learned new skills and how to make a few new things. I've read a lot of great books. I've been working on approaching each day with gratitude and being intentional with my time and it's been so rewarding. I want to continue this life practice forever. There's so much more, but I only have your attention for a few minutes. And that's okay! It's been a good year, but gosh am I ever excited to see what 2023 will bring. Life is shifting back to normal from the past 2 years and I'm filled with gratitude each and every day that passes. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. - Eleanor Roosevelt I once head someone say that if you dreams don't scare the crap out of you, then you're not doing it right- you need to dream bigger. Well, I've got big dreams. They are scary dreams. They 100% give me the urge to say "no" and push them aside. But all I can do is chip away at it one day at a time and show up ready to work. So 2023 is going to be dedicated to nurturing those dreams and helping them to grow. Do you make New Year's Resolutions? Set goals for the upcoming year? Do you spend some time intentionally reflecting on what you have done this year and where you are now? I want to hear all about it. Seriously. I'm wishing you all of the best in 2023 and I hope that you'll stick with me another year. Many blessings, Jess
