Meet Jess.

I want to shoot for you the way I shoot for myself. 

My name is Jessica. I am a wife and a mother. I am an award winning and published photographer based out of Chesapeake, Virginia that specializes in in-home sessions, carrying on a modern version of the grand Southern tradition of storytelling. I see beautiful stories all around me and I feel the need to tell them. I want them to feel timeless and to give you a feeling of nostalgia. I want you to feel something when you see them, I want to make your soul stir.  My style is primarily of the documentary genre, meaning it's unscripted- I shoot it as I see it. My favorite things to shoot are Day in the Life Sessions- throw in a newborn and it's practically heaven! I am obsessed with catching memories and preserving our own histories. I wholeheartedly believe in legacy-building and telling the stories of our lives through a visual means. 
A few of my favorite things aside from photography are reading, being outside, gardening, hiking, visiting theme parks, and exploring new places with my family.
